I took on a new client a couple of weeks ago.  What was interesting is that he had conversations with an accounting firm.  One question that he had asked was if there was a problem would they be able to address it with the IRS or IDOR.  At least they answered truthfully, no they are severely limited in what the IRS allows them to do.

He was also surprised by the fact that when we first meet that I spent a lot of time asking him about his business.  How it was structured?  Why was it structured that way? I tend to drill down to find out how the company is structured, how it works, what isn’t working.  What the future plans and goals are.

Apparently this is how he approaches his clients as well.  So, he was intrigued that someone else’s methods worked like his.  He also was not happy that he did not have all the answers to my questions.

So we have started down a different road than what he had been on, since some or my recommendations have him changing the direction of his path.

He also apologized for waiting so long to call since he was a referral from last year.
