Earlier this week I ranted about the loss of information from Joe Berrios’s Cook County Assessor’s website. Last week they had removed the ability to search for a Property Tax PIN number by address. All searches needed to have a PIN. Not a great thing when you are going to the website to look up the PIN so you can look up information on the Treasures website.
I had called last Friday and had no luck getting an answer as to why it was removed. I was directed to send my complaint in via the website. Which I did.
Today I went in just to check and they re-added the ability to search by address. For which I am grateful. It seems that someone was actually paying attention and did the right thing.
So I now again have the tools to allow me to serve my clients best interests.
