I ran into a client at an event the other week.  This gentleman is a sales rep for a software company.  He is very successful in his industry.

But he had run into a problem with his company.  There was a new sales rep that had the potential to make exactly the same as my client, with a smaller area and bonus target.

This did not make my client a happy employee.  He is by his own words a “Coin Operated Sales Person”, or in other words he wants to be able to make more money than those who are not working as hard as he believes he will.  He also works to make the company, but also himself more profitable.

So he tendered his notice, which caused concern to his employer.  They requested time to make him happy.  They did not respond back to him and he found another opportunity.

Now he is poised to be even more successful, since his measurement tool is money.

Every employer needs to know their employees and what drives them.  There has to be equity when possible.  But keeping employees happy is getting more difficult.

To discuss options available to address concerns give the office a call to schedule an appointment.
