Death, one of the inevitable constants in our world, next to taxes.

Do you have a plan for how to deal with yours?  My in-laws told my mother and her husband about their plans to be cremated, and that they had already prepaid for this service.  So all that needed to occur was a phone call and they would come and retrieve the body.

When my parents passed they were in hospitals so storage of the body was not an issue.  When my father-in-law passed, the service was called and they picked up the body.  If not for that service, I am not exactly sure of the process.

I assume that an ambulance would need to pick up the body and bring it to a morgue, until a funeral home would claim the body.  This seems to be an awkward and expensive proposition.

I have already informed my family of my intentions to have the same service and be cremated.  Burying a body is just so expensive.  At least based on expenses that I have been made privy to.

Do you have a plan?
