Elk Grove has plans for growing its industrial park in prominence.
Elk Grove Village has plans to become the largest server farm in the country. It started with a tenant in a complex on Higgins not far from my office. The business liaison explained that the first building was pre rented by a server farm that was going to utilize the whole building.
It is my understanding that several other buildings in the complex will have the same status.
The Village has gone on a buy spree purchasing run down properties and razing the buildings and prepping the land for sale to developers with the intent of growing into the largest server farm in the country.
They have fewer employees, less wear and tear on city roads and services and still pay taxes, what more can they ask for.
