I was reading Adam Chandler and, in his book, he points out that on a monthly basis that 80 percent of Americans eat fast food at least once a month.
He goes so far as to claim that fast food attracts more interest consistently than libraries, gyms or house of worship. I sadly fall into that grouping. I buy my books, work out at home and do not go to church as regularly as I should.
He later implies that 96 percent of American eat fast food annually. I can believe this; I know some in the top 1% that will stop at McDonalds for coffee if nothing else. Which counts.
Of that remaining 4%, I would guess that it is caused by a lack of access (remote location), absence of funds or dietary restrictions or just hold outs.
But fast food was implemented in the 1900’s and is now a multibillion-dollar business.
It makes for interesting reading.
