My wife and I have been watching Jeopardy for a while now. We have been watching Holzhauer change the way the game is played. Most players typically play the game like I gamble. They play to not lose, not to win. Holzhauer, plays to win and his strategy is working. Never mind that he seemingly has the answers to all categories imaginable…
When I gamble, I gamble with my emotions and battle with my basic psychology; logic and mathematical thinking never seems to enter the picture. I play to not lose, not to win. Knowing this is why I tend to not gamble. Because when I do, I lose because I am not using logic and math.
Do you gamble? If so how do you gamble? Do you use your emotions or logic when you gamble? Casinos know that most people gamble with their emotions. Which is why most winnings are left in the casino, if you gambled with logic, you would leave a winner, having stopped when you were ahead.
