I am wondering if it would be possible to have an expiration date on every law, tax and amendment on the books.
If the government was required to re-pass everything every 10 years or so, what would our laws look like? Would the poor laws of the past still be laws? Would tax loopholes continue to be renewed? Would the tax code be as complicated as it is?
I am a firm believer that term limits for politicians should exist, we have too many whom stay too long. Making all laws with an expiration date would force others with potential different perspectives make different laws.
