I have random quotes on all of the pages of my website. They are financial in nature and surprising after years of them being there, finally with the new website I am getting comments on them.
Apparently they were surprised by the fact that some of them were by fictional people. I have included quotes from various movies and I have the characters listed as the author. Not the screenwriter. With all the creative input into movies, this seemed to be the best approach. So I have Charlie Chan and Sam Spade quotes on the website; Gordon Gekko is also quoted.
I have done this for the fun of it but, I also think that it is a reflection of our times that some characters do seem larger than life and worth quoting.
