Now that “King Richard” is not running all politicians seem to be lining up according to ethnicity lines. All coalitions are looking to back a single candidate along their ethnicity in a bold attempt to grab the keys to the city. We are also seeing politicians lining up by sex as well.
Unfortunately we don’t seem to have anyone interested in helping the city or looking out for the citizen best interests. Chicago has massive deficits; the money from sold assets are almost gone. The police and fire departments have only short term contracts or none at all. The school systems is costing ever more money for less and less results. We have major problems that need solutions.
I would like to see more people looking for the best candidate that has the qualifications for the job. Not just the sex or ethnicity for a special interest group.
