Women taking control over their own destiny is increasing.  Women starting businesses grew at a rate of 74% between 1997 and 2015; or at a rate of 1.5 times the national average, according to the “2015 State of Women-Owned Businesses Report”.

Woman currently own 30% of all businesses in the US; or 9.4 million companies.  These businesses have added an estimated 340,000 jobs since 2007.  Apparently while the male owned businesses have lost jobs.

In 2013 the US woman’s population percentage was 50.8% of the total population.  So I predict that there will continue to be a surge of women starting businesses until there is parity.
