I was meeting with a client and they brought up the ZTE problem. Their take on the issue was slightly different from the news. They believe that any and all information and data from an ZTE device was collected and is now in the possession of the Chinese government.
Since their business is related to the security realm I fully believe what they are telling me. All of our data and information seemingly is up for grabs. We have threats that are known and unknown to our privacy and security.
Congress has concerns about Huawei; I have greater concerns about Google, Facebook and Amazon. I am certain that there are numerous companies who are collecting data and creating personal profiles on all of their customers. I am also certain that they are selling these profiles.
