“In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes” – Andy Warhol

The source of the quote may be contested, but the idea is solid.  It seems that now days everyone seems to think that they are special and unique in every aspect.  Otherwise why would there be so many pictures of meals on the internet. How can these be special is beyond me, since anyone can order them?

The rush to fame also seems to be in play with the documenting of every aspect of one’s day on social media.   Nobody and I mean nobody is that interesting as to have someone follows every aspect of their lives.

To me making a shift from chasing fame to doing something real and important would be a more valid way of getting recognition.  Volunteering your time to help others, striving to be the best that you can be at your job.
