Currently we have two giants that dominate the new ad world; Google and Facebook .

 

Between the two of them they control about two-thirds of all digital ad spending; Facebook only controls18% of the market, while half is under Google icy grip.

 

They control reams and reams of user data which allows them to tailor online pitches to different audiences, boosting response rates.

 

Amazon is looking to make a move to grab some cash and market share as well, so expect them to make a strong play, in the not too distant future.

 

The online retailer plans to live-stream NFL football games this season and track how many viewers respond to ads for products sold on Amazon. This will grant them a powerful new way to measure their impact.
