Last week one of my client’s bank statements came into our office. They use our office as their address of record for their home based business.
But what was startling was that the First Merit Bank statement came in as Huntington Bank. So the consolidation of US Banks continues.
The smaller regional banks seem to still being acquired. The community banks have all but disappeared.
But the trouble with this is that small business will suffer. It is those relationships that help small business grow. The remote decision making by strict ratios does not always tell the whole picture.
Also with banks constant changing their focus without advertising that focus change can leave clients wanting. So I try to be available to new networking opportunities to assist clients.
