Comcast holds a virtual monopoly on internet in my world (home and office), when I last went to try to price compare AT&T does not cover either my home of office.  So Comcast is the monopoly I have to live with.

At least for now other businesses are just starting to reap the rewards of the revolution in space.  This hopefully will lead to cheaper, better broadband.  Bringing with it unlimited data, faster speeds and shorter delays.

This may be a boon to me and rural and hard-to-reach areas, plus new competition for wired web providers.  Think about it, having wireless routers all over the house or office and having great coverage in those places your devices don’t currently work.

These potential new players are: Hughes, Viasat and start-up OneWeb.  I may have to look at their stock prices and prospects as well.
