Over the years I have worked with five published authors.  Only one tied to live off their writings, but they were not doing so successfully when I stopped working with them. But they actually did made the bestseller list on the week the books come out, only to drop off immediately.

Another wrote textbooks, the other three wrote to promote themselves and their beliefs and businesses.

I now have a client who designed a book that got very good reviews but sold poorly; has illustrated a children’s book which also sold poorly as well.  But he has an idea and a plan for getting the word out about his new book.  This book is all him, not written by another, where he does the design work, and illustrates.  This is wholly his own work.

I know the rough outline; he has been working on it for over a year.  Writing and rewriting, I believe he has started illustrating it.  It is to be the first of three graphic novels

I don’t believe that he plans to completely self-publish.  There were discussions to get distribution through an established company. Two were being evaluated.

But he also has several ideas on how to market this book and some connections that I am sure will be leveraged to assist.

I am looking forward to seeing how this will work, there will be sales, I am curious has to the quantity.
