I thought it was hysterical when the Texas Democrats raced to Illinois to stop the Gerrymandering planned for Texas Congressional Districts.  Since Illinois is one of the most Gerrymandered states out there.

I did not like what was planned for Texas, and I don’t like what has happened in IL.  We need a strong two-party system for pure checks and balances.  No one party should be in complete control, ever.

Currently, the Illinois House of Representatives consists of 118 members: 78 are Democrats and 40 are Republican.  All 118 positions are up for election in 2026.  With the gerrymandering I expect to have less Republicans elected.

The Illinois State Senate consists of 59 members: 40 Democrats and 19 Republicans.

I have voted for members of both parties, and I have voted for independents or minority party members.  I want to be represented by good people who want to serve their constituents, not their party or themselves.

We deserve to have the best and brightest in elected office.  I have seen good people skewered and lied about, just to get an unqualified sycophant elected, on both the National, State and Local levels.  So, it’s no wonder why our election choices are limited to not always the best of the best.
