It seems the race is on as to who can utilize AI the fastest in replacing humans in their jobs.

Hollywood had two major strikes on the issue, kicking the can down the road from the imposition of AI into their work lives, without input.

Sports Illustrated has deleted authors and stories from their website when they were questions about the use of AI, according to new casts.

I am inundated by webinars screaming the benefits of AI can have in my work life.  The one I have listen to cover the bare basics and then devolve into a sales pitch to allow them to have all access to my data for the supposed benefits of AI.

I was reviewing tax software for a planned switch in packages and one intrigued me, but to utilize the benefits I would have to turn over all client data to them for processing.  I don’t think my clients would appreciate me sharing their data with whoever works for the firm.  I would no longer have control of their data.

So, I passed the choice of for a slightly cheaper but familiar software package.  Knowing that maybe in the future I may be making another switch if there is more transparency with the client data, where I retain control.

A couple of years ago I was think AI was a threat within 10 -20 years, right now I think it is more like 5 years that we have a whole lot of jobs becoming obsolete due to AI.

An investment recommendation, find out who is making the best uses for AI and invest in that company.  It may be worthwhile.  Or a complete blowout the first is seldom the victor in the long run.
