I predicted a month or so ago that business will have adjusted to a reduced work force, saving cash and training costs.
Red Robin reduced their menu by 55 items, and they are not bringing them back. This change has allowed for a reduced work force to be more productive. This has improved quality (food served faster) and generates less waste.
I know a number of clients doing the same with reduced staffing. But now the articles are coming out about the large companies reducing staff. So, with the large companies adapting to smaller work forces, the job market will have to be slow in recovering. But maybe not if people will get creative and launch their own business and change the world.
Employee and unemployed best come up with plans, for their futures.
