Despite the warnings from Steven Hawking, Elon Musk and Bill Gates; everyone is rushing to get and implement “Artificial Intelligence” into every aspect of our computers.
The one I hadn’t really considered was the military aspects of “AI”.
Now I find that the U.S. needs to overcome these obstacles in order to compete with China and, to a lesser extent, Russia on the battlefield of the future.
Both U.S. adversaries have apparently made tremendous strides in developing hypersonic weapons, which travel at five times the speed of sound and may be able to outmaneuver missile defenses. China is also pouring money into artificial intelligence and quantum computing, with potentially big implications for autonomous weaponry and cryptography.
Who will be the ones to implement “Skynet”, “The Matrix” or put plan automated Armageddon…
