I was meeting with a client and we were discussing the markets and our investments. He stated that he bought into Bitcoin and a diversification measure.
He believes e-currency is here to stay and believes that Bitcoin will at least in the near future be the big player.
He doubts that the US will outlaw e-currencies but will look at ways to tax it heavily.
He believes that the US cannot outlaw it, because other countries are looking to embrace them. This would then leave the US the odd man out.
But 2020 is the year a number of our clients became virtual currency investors, and the ones I thought would embrace virtual currencies didn’t and unsuspecting clients did. They surprised me.
