During a cyber security webinar, one of the recent popular blackmail threats was discussed, pornography blackmail.
This is a trojan attack, where illicit child pornography is added to your computer or turning on your camera on when you are on a pornography site and starts recording your actions. Then you receive the threat of sending the video to all of your contact is made.
You either pay-up on the blackmail threat in bitcoin or they release the information. Here they are counting on your shame or fear to get paid.
Caution has to be exercised everywhere or else there will be consequences.
