It is not hard to believe that the e-commerce is still growing, if you listen closely you can hear another retailer shuttering their doors.  Nor is it hard to imagine that electronic business to business if the fastest growing segment of the market.

Apparently half of all B2B sales are still done manually, such as by sales reps processing orders placed via phone by customers. Just 11% of sales are currently made through an e-commerce website.  I have to admit I am not completely surprised by this.  In a logistic firm everything is not a black and white as one would hope, especially if multiple state are involved, then make it a hazardous material, or put a specific time limit on the delivery time.  The variables complicate the issue and multiple calls need to be made before a quote can be issued.

We still get people going door to door trying to shill office products at our office.

Try to get a specific quote for services from an attorney or CPA.  I have had people tell me they had a simple return, and then they show with two side businesses and four brokerage accounts that each holding a hundred trades.  How it that simple?  So now when people tell me they have a simple return, I am asking why they need professional help, the IRS has a free service for truly simple returns, for a couple of W-2’s.

If you are selling a commodity to businesses then this can work a whole lot better.  You can hook up with Amazon, eBay or Alibaba to sell your wares for you.  At least this is a way to get started; or to supplement your website sales.

If your website is not designed to sell your wares there are website software platforms that help with standardized commodities.

If possible, consider E-B2B for your business.
