One of my clients recently had to let go of an employee who had some unpleasant business in their background.

Their hiring process are lax and they had no reviews are ever done on any of the employees.  I hope that they step up their process.

For my lemonade stand, all employees have to go through a criminal background check.  Not to mention a slew of paperwork I have in place to make sure my client data is safe and secure.

I know a number of small businesses that have lax or inadequate procedures for hiring and onboarding employees.  Yes, there are services who will do that for you, Yes there are fees, but your company should be worth the costs.
