Major layoffs were announced in 2025 include:

  • UPS – 48,000 positions
  • Nestle – 16,0000 positions
  • Amazon – 14,000 positions
  • Bosch – 13,000 positions
  • Dell – 12,000 positions
  • Accenture – 11,000 positions
  • Nissan – 11,000 positions
  • Intel – 10,000 positions
  • Microsoft – 9,000 positions
  • Novo Nordisk – 9,000 positions
  • Paramount – 2,000 positions
  • General Motors – 1,700 positions
  • PWC – 1,500 positions

Unfortunately,  I expect more to come in 2026 and 2027.

Jim Farley the CEO of Ford, is predicting that AI is expected to replace literally half of all white-collar jobs in the US.

The CEO’s from a number of the above companies believe the same thing, and more are keeping their mouths shut, while that look to implement AI and robots to replace more and more workers.

I have been talking to my clients about this subject, and they are planning to find ways to augment their businesses to take advantage of the technology where they can as well.
