Realtors can be one for new individuals who are moving into the area wanting a local practitioner.
Bankers are another, when a client comes in to open up a business account, they can recommend a CPA.
Lawyers can be a great referral source, for individuals, businesses, estates and trusts.
Financial Advisors are another natural, I regularly meet with advisors and clients together.
I actually had a newspaper columnist; we meet and got along so he would interview me on various topics and include me in his columns when the need arose. I miss my lunches with Jim, he helped keep me on my toes, he passed away a couple of years ago.
As a CPA I also get calls from clients asking for a referral on a number of subjects, where I can reciprocate with my Centers of Influence.
