I was talking to a gentleman, who lives north and travels over an hour to get to work each day –with the obvious return trip.
I have a couple of clients looking for his skill set – either client would halve his travels. I offered to make an introduction.
I was turned down. He was so risk adverse he was not interested in making any changes.
His rationale is his age, seniority and knowledge of what the current requirements are with the existing job.
I am aware of others who also, while not happy with their circumstances, are not considering any changes. Seemingly most people are so unwilling to change their circumstances that they would prefer to be unhappy.
Guess they don’t believe the theory behind “Who Moved My Cheese”.
