I know I’m a thousand years old, but I don’t think technology has the boom we think it has been.
Information is easier to access. Great
A more violent society. Bad, but not completely attributable to technology
Less interpersonal communication. Bad
No down time. Bad
Radical attempts to keep screen time down with young kids. Bad
Over engineered cars – no starter models with no frills. Bad
More bills than before – more expensive internet, cell, streaming services. None of these expenses existed in 1975.
Somewhere in the 1970’s and 1980’s we lost the sense of community. This loss coincided with the need for both parents to work to maintain the fabled middle-class lifestyle. Also, with the rise of technology. Or was it just the loss of innocence?
