I was brought up in a world that did not trust China.
In 1989 the Chinese military attacked students and protestors in Tiananmen Square protests and massacred many with tanks and rifles, killing 218 civilians (official number) or up to 800, by other estimates.
Today, about one-quarter of adults under 30 get news regularly on the Chinese-owned social media app.
I am uncertain how the service known for its biases and censorship, would offer a fair and equitable view or choices.
But I also think Fox has its biases and does exercise censorship as well. As with most other US news outlets. Personally, I think the BBC and French news sources have been the most balanced I have seen in the US.
